EXT. STREET IN FRONT OF COLLEGE APARTMENTS- LATE AFTERNOON, SPRING

Navy-blue Volkswagon Golf pulls into parking spot in front of apartment. Opening Theme plays as Casey exits driver’s side (still shot; “Casey” appears on screen). Casey is dressed in khaki cargo pants, a tie dye t-shirt, and a sweatshirt tied around waist. Casey has a nicely trimmed beard.

Brian exits passenger side (still shot; “Brian” appears on screen). Brian is wearing jeans and a “The more you drink, the better I look” t-shirt, while carrying an expensive 35mm camera.

Casey and Brian walk toward apartment as credits roll. Camera follows them as they walk through exterior apartment complex door and up to interior apartment door.They knock.

Paul answers door (still shot; “Pauly” appears on screen). Paul is dressed in relaxed fit khakis and a long sleeved polo shirt.

Opening Theme ends as the three early 20s young men retreat into Paul’s apartment.

INT. PAUL’S APARTMENT

Room has college decor, with various beer signs, a Miller Lite St. Patty’s Day decoration, a slushy machine, a too-expensive-for-college entertainment center, mismatched couch and chairs, and a glass coffee table with several beverage rings.

CASEY
Are you ready to party, Pauly P?

PAUL
Hell, yeah! I just gotta brush my teeth first.

CASEY
Cool. I just gotta call Bob and see if he’s still going with.

Casey walks over to telephone. Paul exits through bathroom door. Brian helps himself to a slushy.

INT. BOB’S BEDROOM IN BASEMENT

Bob is on the phone with Sarah (split screen). His room is very messy, with beer cans and liquor bottles strewn about.A Bob Marley poster adorns the wall, and incense is burning. A guitar is in a corner.

Sarah is in her car on a cell phone. She is a pleasant looking girl.

SARAH
So, are we doing something tonight, Bob?

BOB
I don’t think so. I’m supposed to be BEEP going out with the guys. Oh, that’s probably them on the other line. I’ll call you later.

SARAH
I love you, Bob. I’ll see you tomorrow.

BOB
I love you, too, Baby. CLICK. Hello?

CASEY
Hey, Bobaloo, are you still goin?

BOB
Uhh, I don’t know.

CASEY
What! Whaddya mean?

BOB
I’ve given up booze and women, Casey.

CASEY
Shut the fuck up!

BOB
Hell yeah, I’m still going. You losers still pickin me up?

CASEY
(sarcastic)
Unless you got a car all of a sudden. We’ll be there in twenty.

BOB
Yeah BEEP sure Casey; I got another call so I gotta go. Bye. CLICK. Hello?

Casey hangs up and slides off split screen. Stephanie slides into split screen. She is a fetching young blonde in a telephone booth. Traffic whizzes by her.

STEPHANIE
Hi, Bobby!

BOB
Oh, hey! How’s it going?

STEPHANIE
Pretty good. Hey, Bobby, are we going out tonight?

BOB
Naw, honey. I’m going to Whitewater tonight with my guys.


STEPHANIE
Oh, alright. I love you Bobby. I’ll see you tomorrow.

BOB
I love you, too, Sweetie. I’ll call you tomorrow.

Bob hangs up. View goes to full screen of Bob. Bob smiles into camera (still shot; “The Bobster” appears on screen).

INT. PAUL’S APARTMENT

Casey is on phone dialing a number, and waiting for it to connect. Brian is enjoying another slushy. Paul is primping in the mirror like a pretty boy.

Screen is split as Jeff answers his phone (still shot; “Jeffy” appears on screen). Jeff is wearing a matching White Sox outfit– shorts and a shirt. Jeff’s apartment is relatively neat, although adorned with an extra-large Led Zepplin Stairway to Heaven poster. The apartment also has various plant species represented in pots. Dart board on wall. Various hard liquor and beer mirrors.

JEFF
Jeff’s Garage. How may I direct your call?

CASEY
I’m looking for something with low miles, which excludes your sister.

JEFF
(subdued)
Ha, ha.

CASEY
Hey, Jeffy! We’re on our way. Is there anything you need us to bring?

JEFF
Yeah, bring a box of chocolates and a Bible.

CASEY
We’ll see if Paul has that stuff. See you in a while.

JEFF
Yep.

Full screen of Jeff, looking pensively straight ahead. “The Jeff Movie” appears on screen. Theme music snipit.

INT. PAUL’S APARTMENT

CASEY
One last call.

Casey dials phone and split screen appears with Julie. She quickly picks up on the first ring. Julie’s room is littered with pictures of herself and Casey, including a poster of Casey wearing the same clothes he is currently wearing. Bed is filled with stuffed animals. Julie is a slender blonde, wearing a white tank top and french cut white panties. She is sitting Indian Style on bed.

JULIE
(timidly)
Hello?

CASEY
Hi, honey. We’re leaving now. So I guess I’m just calling to let you know.

JULIE
OK.

CASEY
What’s wrong?


JULIE
Nothing.

CASEY
(somewhat angry)
Look, we’re leavin right now, so if something’s wrong, just tell me.

JULIE
(staring at picture)
There’s nothing wrong.

CASEY
OK, but it sure sounds like it. (annoyed) Shit! What! Are you mad because I’m going out with my friends?

JULIE
No. Why do you always say that. It hurts my feelings.

CASEY
I’m sorry, honey. (fake sincerity) I’ll miss you.

JULIE
(real sincerity)
I’ll miss you, too.

CASEY
Love you.

JULIE
I love you, too.

CASEY
See you tomorrow, honey.

JULIE
Bye.

Casey hangs up phone. Julie wiped off of split screen. Paul picks up phone to call girlfriend. Brian and Casey continue to drink slushies. When phone is connected, split screen appears.

Kari is in a dorm room, bunk bed in background. She is sitting at a desk filled with text books, her foot on top of desk as she applies nail polish. Audience is treated to loose fitting shorts panty shots.

KARI
Hello?

PAUL
Hi, this is Paul.

KARI
(face lights up)
Yeah, I know it’s you. What’s up?

PAUL
Casey and Brian are here, and we’re going to Whitewater.

KARI
(dejected)
Oh.


PAUL
I just thought I’d call and let you know.

KARI
Are yo going to be back tomorrow?

PAUL
Most likely. Why?

KARI
Can we do something?

PAUL
Sure! I want to go look at a few cars. You can come along.

KARI
Great! I’ll see you tomorrow. I love you.

PAUL
(unenthusiastic)
Oh, thanks.
(appreciative)
Thanks alot! Bye.

Paul hangs up. Full screen. Brian walks over to phone and dials.

BRIAN
I gotta make a call, too.

CASEY
Well, make it quick. She keeps you on the phone forever!

Split screen when connected. Mom is sitting on couch watching “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” and eating Cheetos.

MOM
Hello?

BRIAN
Mom.

MOM
What did you do now?

BRIAN
Nothing, mom. I’m just calling to let you know I’m going out to Jeff’s tonight.

MOM
Are you going with those rummies?

BRIAN
We’re not rummies, mom.

MOM
Are you going to stay overnight?

BRIAN
Yeah, it’s that bar bash weekend thing. I think we’re staying over...
