Better if She Liked Jay

She was already perfection in a

Lauren suit, and then she had to

mention she liked Letterman. What

more could there be? Rumor has it

she’s still married, but Mike says

a ring never plugged any hole. On

the other hand, it was fifty-fifty

she’d like Letterman better than Jay,

so why am I so taken? I know

she’s bad for me, like a ham and

Velveeta sandwich with Cheetos.

And I’d eat her…. Wow! I never

needed a cold shower just looking

before, but she’s once in a few lifetimes,

and I’m stuck on this one. I know

she’s not here to reward me,

so punish me it is. Like usual.

I see her and me in some romantic

comedy– not at the theater, but in

real life. Except for the plot never twists,

and all it is is comedy. I’m the main

character, but she runs off with the other

guy, who has more or less, depending

on how you judge. But he has her.
