I was six years oldhangin out in first grade

When the principal asked bout the friends I’d made

Girls instead of guyswere the pals I preferred

The school psychologist was to whom I was referred

Asked about male rolemodels and morals

And why with the boysI’d get into quarrels

Promised I’d make an effortto improve my behaviors

Administration saw themselvesas benevolent saviors

So I hung out with boysand became like the rest

And I never gave up til I was seen as the best

[Pullin me down Pullin me down Pullin me down

To the principal’s office I go.]

Second grade playgroundI’m dodgeball royalty

No one stood a chancebut I had no loyalty

When you know you’re the bestand others don’t compare

You teach them all daily that life just isn’t fair

And when you lost to meyou lost more than a game

For the more I said about it the more grew my fame

Sometimes the older kidswould chase me down in packs

I bore the full fury of fourth grader attacks

But when I blasted Rockman , a shot to the cranium

His brother’s fifth grade fistsfelt just like titanium

Pullin me down Pullin me down Pullin me down

To the principal’s office I go.

Fifth grade now,buddy Brett’s in a fix

Saying something stupid so I joined in the mix

Brett took Julius;Weldon was the other

Bloody and bruised but I had to help my brother

Fighting’s never rightbut your sight can be blinded

By a friend in need, indeed I’m reminded.

Later on we played tackle in the snow

Jovan was huge but came at me too slow

So I took his momentum in a massive body slam

And found myself stuckin another office jam

I painted Joe Camelfor 8th Grade art

Censored in the hallright from the start.

Sophomore year,a poster made for French

Recruit students witha propaganda drench.

It was a hot girl, spoke French, wore a gown.

Well, a short skirt. Anyhow, they took it down.

Senior year (oh dear)showin up late

First hour studyhalldid not equate

And I made funny messagesdisplayed on my car

Principal asked if I thoughtI was a rockstar

Pullin me down Pullin me down Pullin me down

To the principal’s office I go.

First year teaching used a dating magazine

So kids could explore a related English theme.

But there were some ads in the back kinda sleazy

Revenge on his teacher for a student was quite easy.

Fifth year teachingand all is going great;

New baby, nice students, but maybe it’s just fate

Student paper kindacrossed the borderline

Can’t keep clear of conflictand another landmine.

2009 was my web page and Thasso

That got the office posseto pull out the lasso

Pullin me down Pullin me down Pullin me down

To the principal’s office I go.
