List of Greatness




Getting the Point Across:


If a teacher wants to change something, the point has to be made to do it, and the kids have to respond. Some teachers have great ideas but can’t get the ideas to the students because they haven’t found the way in.




Keeping up:


Teachers have to know about the newest ways of learning, as well as the newest ways of living. We can’t try to be cooler than the students, but we should try to understand where the coolness comes from. Architects don’t design two story adobe office buildings in Wisconsin—technology has moved forward, and the climate isn’t right for certain materials, and it just wouldn’t be efficient. Teachers have to avoid getting stuck in ruts, too.
